Light source ALPHAXENON LIGHT 300 W
In endoscopic applications the quality of light always is a decisive factor for the performance of the overall system. GIMMI® light sources are characterized by an outstanding efficiency and a long service life of the bulb. The exceptional luminous power of the system produces 25% more light than comparable devices owing to the innovative bulb technology featuring elliptical dichroically coated reflectors. All GIMMI® ALPHAXENON LIGHT sources are provided with a temperature controlled post-cooling feature for safeguarding the bulb system and extending its life expectancy. When replacing the bulb, a rapid service access allows the bulb to be replaced together with the premounted heat sink in the fixture. This guarantees a continued perfect cooling effect.
ALPHAXENON LIGHT emits a light beam focussed to a narrower diameter which allows the application of endoscopes and optical waveguide of a smaller active diameters with high luminous efficacy at the distal end of the endoscope. The colour temperature of approx. 6000 k corresponds to sunlight.
In combination with AlphaCam’s the cold light source yields a particularly brilliant aperture illumination and colour rendition.
Pressing a button controls the brightness by activating a diaphragm while the colour temperature remains constant. The latest circuit technology provides optimum performance and functionality.
The 300 watt version offers an additional adjusting facility. When replacing the bulb it ensures 100% accurate centering of the bulb to the fibre optics and thus guarantees the highest optical power.

Light source ALPHAHALOGEN LIGHT 250 W
The ALPHAHALOGEN LIGHT with its 250 W halogen bulb provides an exceptional illumination of the endoscopic field of operation. Especially the easy availability of the halogen bulb makes this light source a cost-effective solution in minimal invasive surgery and the standard in outpatient diagnostics.
A particularly well conceived safety feature is the automatic switchover from main bulb to spare bulb in case of bulb failure. Therefore the light source is always ready for use and contributes to patient safety.
Here, as with all GIMMI® light sources, an effective and protective cooling system emphasizes the intention to prolong service life of the light fitting and thus to reduce the operating costs. The mechanical diaphragm control and the standby circuit fitted to the system enable the most easy operation of the light source.
Fibre optic light cables
The fibre optic light cable with silicon encasing is autoclavable (134°C/2,3 bar), waterproof, particularly resistant to chemicals and cleaning solutions, to load tension and is very flexible.
